Government
Ogden has a Mayor/Council form of Government. The Mayor is the chief executive for Ogden and he is directly responsible for supervising all city departments. The Mayor's actions and appontments are subject to the approval of seven members of the City Council, which have no direct authority over city departments. However, the City Council does control the city budget and set policy through legislation.
